This is a selective pre-emergence herbicide for rice, maize, groundnuts, wheat, soybean, and Beans.

Butanil-S works by inhibiting protein synthesis and thus growth of weed seed. Mix 150-200ml of Butanil-S in 20L of water. Apply immediately after planting. For better results, apply when soil is moist. Butanil-S can be tank-mixed with other herbicides such as 2,4-D, to give pre-emergence control of grasses, sedges, and broadleaves.
